I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled an

Ordinance to amend the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900,

and I 80 of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the

Governor's Instructions.

2.

This Ordinance, which amends the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900, contains the four following main provisions; -

(a) The customary 10% allowance for compulsory acquisition is

abolished.

(b) The compensation is to be based on the amount which the

property might be expected to realise if sold in the open

market.
